College Center
A. Bulletein Board Policy
Signs and notices must be stamped at the Info Center. Only 4 copies of any one sign or notice are allowed to be posted in the College Center. Signs/ notices may be posted on designated bulletin board spaces only. No posting on doors, walls or windows. All postings must clearly identify the individual or organization responsible for the event, announcements, etc. The only allowance for postings on doors will be the College Center hours of operation from the Associate Director, when applicable.
B. College Center Tables
VSA organizations or departments may reserve tables in the College Center to advertise or promote a college event.
*There is “no soliciting” allowed while at the table. Materials/information may only be displayed on the tables. No hand-outs, no “hawking.”
*Music must be played at a reasonable volume as not to be disruptive to the rest of the College Center.
*re: food sales. Only pre-cooked food is allowed for sale in the College Center. Only warming trays are allowed, i.e.—NO electric frying pans, woks, broilers, etc.
NOTE: re: non-Vassar/off-campus clients i.e.—guests of a student organization or department. A representative of the organization or department must accompany the guest while in the College Center and be seated at the table.
C. College Center Rooms (miscellaneous)
- Accessible to people using a wheelchair
- Smoking is not permitted.
- No pets, bikes or roller-blading allowed.
- Private parties are allowed only upon approval from the Executive Director or the Associate Director of Campus Activities.
- All students/guests must vacate College Center rooms upon closing each night. Hours may be extended due to all-campus events.

Faculty Commons/South Atrium: Seating capacity, 40;Department/organizational meetings at the discretion of the Office of Campus Activities. Contact Executive Director of Campus Activities Office for exhibition space.
Matthew’s Mug: 130 people standing. Pub/dance club setting.
North Atrium: (first floor) Post office, Computer Store, The Student Activities Resource Center, the Kiosk, Copy machine, Office of Campus Activities, College Center Info Center, club and organization bulletin boards.
College Center Multipurpose Room (room 223): Seats 80; kitchen, screen, projector, AV Equipment, DVD, VHS, lunch setting, conference setting by request.
Villard Room: Seating capacity 299; 250 at round tables (for dinners); informal lounge area; lounge furniture; permanent dance floor; piano, sound and projection requests through Media Services, x7480. Room size 45’ x 73’, Campus Activities Office can provide sound system and mics for VSA organizations.
College Center Conference Rooms 204, 235, 240: Seating capacity 28. Dry erase board. All rooms are approximately 22’ x 24’ (235 has a “phonathon” capability; 204 has DVD,VHS, plasma, video conferencing).
College Center Room 237: Seating capacity 20, informal meeting area; kitchen facilities; TV/VCR.
Retreat (South Atrium): Seating capacity: 148
Retreat Deck/Patio: outdoor eating area. Seating capacity: 72.
SARC: Student Activities Resource Center. Program Registration Information and Office for the SARC Interns.
Aula: Fire place, kitchen, café style small tables and chairs with some lounge seating. Seating capacity: 100. All sound done through media services.
