SARC: Student Activity Resource Center
The SARC is located on the first floor of the College Center in room 106 (CC106). It is a student-staffed office created to facilitate event management. The SARC is staffed by SARC Interns trained by the Office of Campus Activities in all facets of event planning and execution. Organizations are encouraged to utilize the office and its resources. The SARC hours will be posted on the office door, the College Center Supervisor’s bulletin board, and the Info Center. SARC is at ext. 7854.
SARC Programming Intern
All VSA organizations are assigned a SARC Programming Intern for the year. Upon approval of a VSA event, the organization must meet with their assigned Intern. Organizations must see their SARC interns otherwise events may be cancelled if no contact is made 5 days before the event. The names of the interns will be posted on the College Center Supervisor’s bulletin board and the Center bulletin board and the SARC office door. The interns meet with the Assistant Director of Campus Activities twice a week. They work with the organization in the following areas:
- money/budget
- service requests (set-up, tables, chairs, staging, electrical)
- miscellaneous: alcohol, catering, etc.
- publicity
- organization leadership
- overall event management
